Pros and cons of Palaver IRC app for iPhone and iPad

Palaver IRC app good for

Nice interface, works fine. Some missing features but I assume it will come in next update ! Keep going this way !
Would be even better with an autojoin option to your favorite channels. Here me devs! Keep on the good work.
.. the Badge counts Server Messages so I have to open them all to remove it, everytime I connect. Please add an option to disable them or fix that they get counted.
This app has that fluid feel to it that reminds me of stock iOS apps. It integrates seamlessly with ZNC, has a push module for it and it can even upload images to imgur. Definitely worth every single cent
I do not know what to say about this, totally best IRC client on the Store!!! But one con, when I get into the network (quakenet) I dont see the qwebirc, or the thing where it leads you to after you enter your nickname. Please add that. Thanks
Ive tried so many different IRC apps but none of them are too good. This one gives you access to IRC without any hassle. It supports SASL NickServ and ZNC passwords right in the settings. There are great themes for the IRC area. Swipe to delete channels and other stuff. It can do image upload easily through imm.io. It integrates with iOS notification centre well so you can get messages on your lock screen. The implementation is better than most desktop clients. This is an outstanding IRC app. Hats off to the creator.

Some bad moments

Crashes when joining channels like #7w-Maggies instantly. Also authentification does not work via nickserv. Really disappointed!?!
Gorgeous user interface. Unfortunately, all messages containing one or more German "Umlaut" (ä, ö, ü) are being dropped completely and without notice. These letters are among the most often used in the German language. Needless to say that makes conversations impossible. Had no luck contacting support so far.
I got this working and was able to join a channel but as far as I can figure out the app requires you to manually add passworded channels each time you want to join them. Also, e-mail support never got back to me so Im giving this 2 stars until this gets fixed or someone gets back to me telling me its not actually broken.
Pretty, but has trouble connecting to servers which other clients have no trouble with. I wish I could get my money back.
As far as functionality goes, I havent encountered any major issues. It is still lacking in several ways though. On an iPad for example, you cant close the connections panel, so only half your screen can be used for chatting (portrait and landscape). It also has not been updated to fit the new look of iOS7, and as some of the other reviews have made mention of, support/ speaking with the developer seems to be lacking.
It doesnt always do auto nick complete as advertised. It doesnt support /nick complete. And what kind of irc client does not do /ignore. I also wish it would do sasl authentication. And it does this annoying thing where when you get highlights, the number beside the channel stays red even after youve checked it. So if every one of your channels had something highlighted and then you look at them and then you get another highlight, you cant tell which highlight it came from. Its hard to open up the settings for the very first irc server because you end up clicking the settings button for the entire irc. Basically, its very clunky to use despite what the pictures tell you. Also, I think the developer has abandoned this. So whats the bother in buying it?
